Challenge presented in the project.
Our client has requested that we revitalize the Sharity mascot, imbuing it with a modern aesthetic to resonate with a younger demographic while still adhering to the legacy elements such as the blue jumper-clad pink elephant.
The goal is to find innovative approaches to convey the values of caring and sharing.
In addition to the mascot design, our agency has been entrusted with the creation of a full slate of stories, featuring not only Sharity but also his group of friends. Our team have to ensure that each character is imbued with a unique personality and a range of emotions, enabling the audience to connect with them on a deeper level.
Furthermore, we are tasked with conceptualizing a believable and immersive world for Sharity and his friends to inhabit, ensuring that the environment aligns with the brand and message.
How did we solve the challenge with the client?
After careful consideration and consultation with the client, we have proposed a 16-episode animated series to effectively communicate the brand’s message, encapsulated by the tagline “Care Deeply Share Freely”. Our team’s goal is to craft a thought-provoking and engaging narrative that educates our young audience on important values, such as Disability, Autism, Inclusive Community, Cyber Bully, among others.
Balancing educational messaging with an organic and engaging storyline is no small feat. Our team spent significant time in brainstorming sessions, ensuring that the values are integrated into the story in a seamless, organic fashion. We then proceeded to create a diverse cast of characters, each with their unique personalities and values.
Our character design team undertook the challenging task of developing a multitude of designs for each of the characters, ensuring that each design fit cohesively with the overarching visual style of the animation. Keeping abreast of the latest trends in animation style was a critical consideration during the design phase.
